Heavy lifting

In recent years, the development of wind energy at sea has risen. Project developers often contact us at an early stage. We think with them as to the organisation, the technical requirements and any preconditions for the lifting scope. Our wind turbine lifting equipment are all custom designed. We advise our clients about the best way to handle the hoisting and lifting scope, as well as in setting up a plan of approach.
For example, providing calculations so that the most suitable equipment can be selected for the job. All of this, of course, in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations.

Towing

Around the world, towing activities must meet ever stricter requirements. Due to the up-to-date knowledge of our towing specialists we are able to provide our clients with the preliminary calculations to determine suitable towing equipment to meet those requirements. We offer our clients the resources they need to realise the towing activities safely and effectively.

Because safety is such an important aspect within our scope, we carry out daily towing inspections on board of our clients’ vessels worldwide. After inspection we provide full certification & documentation for the vessel and its available equipment.

Salvage

The world of salvage operations is varied and unpredictable. Whether it’s a urgent removal project or the decommissioning of a wreckage that obstructs shipping or poses a hazard to the environment. At Vlierodam we can provide you with the correct hoisting, lifting and towing equipment. Any time, any place. Naturally, keeping in line with the most recent regulations. Construction and Industry

For many years, through good old fashioned hard work and dedication, Vlierodam is a dedicated supplier to construction and industry partners all over the world. We have been involved at the earliest stages until the finalisation of various onshore construction related projects for over 60 years and still counting.

In-house production & Certification

At Vlierodam we put our in-house workshop to task every day. This includes our own production & testing facility, with a wealth of materials and expert operating staff. Here we produce and certify high-quality hoisting, lifting and towing equipment. As applications and conditions are so diverse, we provide our clients with custom made solutions: wire rope slings, chain & components, mooring equipment, grommets, stay wires, winch wires and more. We supply these materials in different diameters, constructions, strengths and material types, along with various terminations and couplings.

On-site inspection, testing, rigging and certification

Along with our own production facility, we also have on-site re-certification possibilities. This means that we can guarantee the correct (re)certification and documentation of our clients’ equipment, based on the latest European and international standards. Providing spooling devices from 3 up to 300 tons and performing of rigging activities on site can be considered as daily business.

As a supplier of high-quality hoisting, lifting and towing equipment, all of us at Vlierodam understand that our clients and their customers must be able to perform their tasks safely. Therefore we offer updated training courses on a regular basis. Courses in relation to socket pouring and safe use of materials & towing equipment can be arranged upon request.
