Related Standard / Guideline
In general it should be taken into account that fibre ropes should be protected against chafing and contact surfaces as the quality will be affected. Therefore substitution in relation to steel wire ropes cannot be taken for granted as wire ropes may have affected contact surfaces. Make sure that contact surfaces are smooth and without sharp edges. At any time it is advisable to protect the rope at contact position. To do so we can supply multiple options in this matter.
